It was another great IBS show for Weiland and it was great to see everyone who stopped by to see our new booth! Although overall IBS attendance was down, we were very pleased with the foot traffic in our area and high level of interest in our products. Our exhibit booth was consistently full and it was nice to hear the growing optimism from many builders and architects from around the country.
In addition to our usual “show-stopping” 27’ radius liftslide door, we also turned heads (upwards!) with our new 16’ tall liftslide door (aluminum with teak interior cladding). The 16' door is AAMA tested and reflects our commitment to pushing the envelope of what a sliding door can be.
This year we also introduced, with great response, a new push out casement (HC 100 DP) and tilt turn window (LC 65 DP), both with U-Values under 0.30.
Again, thanks to everyone who stopped by. For those of you who couldn’t make it, please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions or need additional information on these or any of our doors and windows!

I am excited and pleased to announce that Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows has named Rod Preston as our new Director of Sales. As Director of Sales, Rod will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing sales and development of Weiland's network of independent dealers and sales reps.
Rod has spent most of his 30+ year career with Sierra Pacific Windows as the Senior Sales Manager and Director of Product Development/Marketing. He also brings to Weiland valuable sales and manufacturing experience with Pella, Marvin and Norco (now Jeld Wen). With Sierra Pacific, Rod developed a direct sales force including 11 regional managers, 13 commercial sales staff and established an independent dealer sales program including over 100 dealers.
This is especially exciting since Rod has had a relationship with Weiland for almost 10 years and is already familiar with our products and many of our independent dealers and sales reps. We're looking forward to big things from Rod and we expect him to hit the ground running! Rod started at Weiland on Monday the 16th so please feel free to call Rod directly at (760) 722-8828 or email him at

Weiland’s Beefy Bifold can maximize your door opening and bring in abundant natural daylight and ventilation, dramatically expanding your view. Other companies’ folding door panels get narrower as they get taller, limiting both light and view with excessive stiles and unnecessary transom windows. In contrast, the Beefy Bifold can be built as tall as 13-1/2’ with individual panels up to 5’ wide. Our folding door systems are especially useful when trying to maximize the size of an opening when there is no room for sliding doors with wall pockets.
Weiland’s proprietary Beefy Bifold and our other bifold products provide the flexibility and opportunity to take full advantage of your design options with systems available up to 40’ wide. You can order our folding doors in an almost limitless number of configurations or applications, including corner systems, integrated swinging doors, or as windows. And like our liftslides, Weiland’s folding doors are available in all wood, all aluminum and aluminum with interior wood cladded custom sashes.

One of the distinguishing features of our liftslide is the Weiland flush bottom track which projects above the finished floor by only 3/16". This creates a beautiful and seamless transition between interior and exterior living spaces.
Both the standard and patented drainage flush track systems have been tested and meet AAMA performance standards for air and water infiltration. The patented full drainage track option is available to help accommodate variations in flooring materials to further enhance the door system's weather resistance.
Our patented track has been specially designed and pre-assembled for easier installation. A built-in marker on the Weiland track assists in accurately installing the finished floor at only 3/16" below the top of the track. Back to Top
