Our standard folding door systems include side jambs that are only 2" wide and fit into most existing wall conditions, easily accommodating both new contruction and remodels. The more robust Beefy Bifold has a door jamb of less than 4" in width.
The standard U channel bottom track is a single track only 3/8" above the finish floor. Because the folding doors are top hung, the bottom track (available with drainage) carries no weight and acts as a guide. The bottom tracks used for folding doors are made of a durable, corrosion resistant, solid piece of stainless steel.
Side jambs and head tracks can be buried in most applications for a cleaner, more custom look.
EUROPEAN HARDWARE
The heavy-duty hardware system used on the Weiland Beefy Bifold gives the customer the option of larger, more expansive door panels that can be easily opened and closed. This type of hardware enables us to build individual panel sizes over 13' tall and up to 5' wide. Beefy Bifold systems provide for openings as wide as 40'.
The standard Weiland all aluminum and aluminum wood folding doors can be built to fold in or outward for added design flexibility. The standard bifold panels are designed for heights up to 9' and panel widths up to 3'.
DESIGN FLEXIBILITY
Individually operable doors can be built into most units for more exit options. The Beefy Bifold man door is hinged at the side jamb. Standard bifolds can position a swinging door within the configuration of an odd number of panels.
The number of panels can be varied to suit the opening size and the desired configuration.
Smaller size specifications for the standard bifold can also be used as windows for kitchens or bar areas.
Our larger center pivot door systems are often used in great rooms, golf clubhouses, restaurants or recreation centers to create a disappearing exterior wall.
Bifold doors are available that meet at corners with no corner posts, creating a unique unobstructed opening to the outside.
There are several threshold options, including some with a flush bottom track and built-in drainage system.

GLASS
Any glass available up to 1-1/2" thick can be ordered to match most other glass types available and meet any necessary energy requirements.
Because Weiland systems are used in extreme environments, including harsh desert heat and frigid cold ski resorts, we work with many glass suppliers and manufacturers to offer the highest performance glass that is made.
Options include insulated units with tempered glass and various coatings to optimize energy efficiency including laminated, tinted, and other options.
Low E3 and other available coatings greatly reduce heat transfer through glass and also help minimize fading of furniture and carpets that can be caused by harmful UV rays.
Divided lites and lock rails are also available.
The choice for no glass is offered if the client chooses to use a unique glass or would like to have the glazing done on-site by others.
MATERIALS
Weiland uses only the best raw materials available.
Our aluminum door profiles are made with 6063 aluminum, a stronger and harder alloy than the thin aluminum cladding used by others.
Weiland uses the highest quality wood species available on the market, enabling our clients to match any custom wood cabinetry. Mahogany, Doug fir, walnut, cherry, alder and many other wood types are often used.
For special projects, customers can also choose any available wood species.
EXTERIOR FINISH
Weiland offers high quality Kynar as its standard exterior finish. Powder coating and anodizing are also available.
Kynar provides outstanding color retention and weather resistance due to a time tested formula containing a high percentage of resin, meeting AAMA 2605-05 performance requirements.
We will match any clad colors of window manufacturers.
Custom color matching is also available. Just send us a color sample, (some custom or metallic colors may cost more or have longer lead times).
